The match is the Mexican team’s final appearance on U.S. soil before the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which begins June 11. The Rose Bowl said the rest of the multi-day Rose Bowl sendoff schedule is unchanged.
The new time replaces the 6 p.m. kickoff announced when tickets first went on sale in February. The release did not state a reason for the change. Match tickets remain on sale at SomosLocales.com.
Surrounding events at the Rose Bowl run from May 28 through May 30. A MexTour Media Day is scheduled for May 28. On May 29, the Mexico Open Training and VIP Fan Day begins at 5 p.m., followed by the Xavi MexTour Live Concert, presented by Gillette, at the stadium’s Court of Champions at 8 p.m. On May 30, the AT&T Futbol Fiesta will run before the match, and the DJ Deorro is scheduled to perform at halftime.
Open Training tickets start at $10, and a combo package that includes the training and the Xavi concert is available for $30, according to the release.
Xavi, a Mexican-American singer-songwriter whose single “La Diabla” topped Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart in 2024, will headline the May 29 concert. Deorro, born Erick Orrosquieta in Los Angeles, is a Mexican-American DJ and producer whose 2014 track “Five Hours” reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart.
The MexTour, now in its 23rd year, has consistently drawn crowds of more than 50,000 fans per match over the past decade and has an estimated fan base of 65 million, according to Nielsen Sports figures cited in the release.
A near-capacity crowd is expected at the Rose Bowl on May 30.
