A fire erupted on the 600 block of El Molino Avenue around 3 a.m. Monday in front of an apartment building in what was believed to be an arson, police said.
The fire was started after an unidentified person set some items ablaze in front of the apartment complex, authorities said.
“There were some bed clothes and things stacked up in front of the house prior,” said Lieutenant Peter Hettema of the Pasadena Police Department. “Somebody lit that on fire and caused the damage.”
Hettema said the heat from the fire broke a window of the residence and a motor scooter that was chained to the porch has gone missing.
Police are still searching for suspects. Anyone with information about this incident is urged to call the Pasadena Police Department at (626) 744-4501.
