Monsoonal Moisture Carries Slight Chance of Thunderstorm Today

Monsoon moisture will bring a very slight chance of morning thunderstorms Friday before clearing to mostly sunny skies and comfortable temperatures in the low 80s, National Weather Service forecasters said.

The unusual moisture-driven summer storm possibility represents the first weather pattern change in weeks for Pasadena residents, even though the chance of thunder is less than 20% and will pass by noon.

Current conditions feature partly cloudy skies with temperatures climbing toward a high near 83 degrees. Light and variable winds are expected to shift southwest at 5 to 10 mph Friday afternoon.

The next 24 to 48 hours will see a transition from unsettled to stable conditions. Saturday brings partly sunny conditions becoming fully sunny with temperatures rising slightly to 85 degrees.

Overnight lows will remain comfortable around 60 degrees both Friday and Saturday nights.

No formal weather advisories are in effect for Pasadena.
