A 25-year-old Las Vegas man was arrested and charged with firearm and narcotics violations following a two-hour standoff on Gradeur Avenue early Wednesday morning, according to Altadena Sheriff Capt. Christopher Reed.
Reed said that deputies tried to stop a vehicle driven by Malcolm Neuman-Sample, 25, for vehicle code violations. Neuman-Sample “refused all deputies’ commands” to get out of the car, Reed said.
Reed said that deputies ended up using “non-lethal munitions” — which he described as a rubber bullet — to break the car window and pepper-spray Neuman-Sample into submission. Reed said that the suspect was not injured.
