The AC Hotel Pasadena, part of Marriott’s globally recognized brand, will open its doors on April 1st. The new establishment promises to blend European sophistication with contemporary design elements while drawing inspiration from Pasadena’s heritage and natural surroundings.
According to a company statement, the hotel will feature 194 thoughtfully designed rooms, including 66 double queens, 123 kings, four suites, and one exclusive penthouse suite. Its design emphasizes clean lines, functional sophistication, and a neutral palette with open, flowing spaces, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a balance of modern and natural textures with wood accents and ample natural light.
“We’re excited to bring AC Hotel Pasadena to the Playhouse Village,” said Ben Spaulding, General Manager of AC Hotel Pasadena. “Our goal is to create a space that feels both stylish and welcoming, where guests can enjoy a seamless blend of comfort, great design, and thoughtful amenities. Whether guests are here for business, leisure, or to explore the vibrant culture of Pasadena, we look forward to welcoming all.”
The property will offer several signature spaces, including the AC Lounge, a stylish social hub serving craft cocktails and tapas in a relaxed setting. The AC Kitchen will provide a European-inspired breakfast experience, while AC Café, partnering with Jones Coffee, will offer handcrafted specialty coffee.
The AC Library will provide a stylish and inviting space for relaxation, work, and socializing, featuring curated books and modern décor. Guests can also enjoy a well-equipped fitness center that seamlessly blends functionality with the hotel’s modern aesthetic. These featured spaces will be open to the public along with the AC Lounge, AC Kitchen, and AC Café.
Business travelers can take advantage of over 9,500 square feet of flexible meeting and event space, including a ballroom and executive boardroom. The hotel will serve as the official hotel partner of Pasadena Playhouse, welcoming theatergoers throughout the year.
Two distinct bar experiences will enhance the guest experience, including a main-level bar extending to a street-level patio with landscaping and fire features. A rooftop restaurant and terrace, one of Pasadena’s few, is scheduled to open in the second quarter and will offer views of the San Gabriel Mountains.
The hotel’s design will incorporate artwork from California-based artists throughout the property, including a custom illuminated resin sculpture at the registration desk. This artistic focus reinforces the hotel’s connection to the region’s creative community and cultural heritage.
Located at the corner of Colorado Blvd. and Madison Ave., AC Hotel Pasadena sits along the famous Rose Parade route with easy access to key attractions, including the Pasadena Convention Center, The Huntington Library, Rose Bowl Stadium, and Dodger Stadium.
The company statement said the hotel is designed for modern travelers seeking a sophisticated yet inviting retreat in Pasadena.
With its blend of European design influence, thoughtful amenities, and prime location, the new property positions itself as a stylish addition to the city’s hospitality landscape.
