An oil spill on the 210 Freeway in Pasadena shut down two lanes for nearly the entire Monday afternoon, FOX 11 reported.

According to the California Highway Patrol, around 2:38 p.m., two lanes on the westbound freeway by Lake Avenue and the Lake Avenue offramp were closed as crews worked to clear the road hazard on November 11.

A SigAlert was issued for the 210 Freeway in Pasadena for hours before eventually reopening.

The roads reopened late Monday night, according to FOX 11.

Highway Patrol authorities confirmed it was an oil spill, though no other details were immediately released.
