Materia Inc., a Pasadena-based manufacturer of thermoset polymers and resins, on Wednesday announced the appointment of a new president and CEO.
Cliff Post will lead the company effective July 1, Materia said in a written statement.
Post will succeed Chris Murphy, who is retiring as a company officer but will remain with the organization as chair of the business development committee of the company’s board of directors. Murphy’s new role will fill a vacancy on the board.
Board Chair Ray Roberge said he had confidence in Post’s ability to move the company forward.
“In over 30 years of prior experience in sales, business development and research and development, Cliff has a proven track record of growing sales and revenues and expanding product offerings in new market applications,” he said. “Cliff will continue to commercialize Materia’s technology and build and grow its customer relationships.”
Roberge thanked Murphy for his service and said he looked forward to working with him on the company’s board.
Post joined Materia in 2015 as vice president of business development, according to the organization.
Previously, he held leadership positions at Praxair and Rodgard, according to the statement. “He holds five patents and has seven journal publications.”
“I am honored to have the opportunity to lead Materia at such a pivotal time in the company’s history, as well as to work with such a committed and innovative team,” Post said.
