Pasadena-based Titan Resources is mobilizing more than 30 haul trucks to support Los Angeles County Department of Public Works operations at Devil’s Gate Dam, marking a major local project for the construction support company as it expands its operations under a new name.
Formerly known as Titan Disposal, the company is providing and coordinating the trucks needed to haul material away from the Devil’s Gate project site.
The large-scale operation requires continuous scheduling and dispatching to keep more than 30 trucks moving efficiently while supporting the county’s work at the flood-control facility.
“Devil’s Gate Dam is an important part of Pasadena and the surrounding community, so having our trucks working on a major public works project right here in our backyard is something we’re proud of,” Titan Resources President Jamie Potter said.
Potter said Titan’s responsibility is to provide the trucking capacity required by Los Angeles County Public Works and carry out its portion of the work safely and efficiently.
The project comes as the company transitions from Titan Disposal to Titan Resources. The new name reflects the company’s growth and expanded work with public agencies, general contractors and major infrastructure projects throughout Southern California.
“Titan has grown considerably from where we started,” Potter said. “The Titan Resources name better represents the company we have become and the type of projects we’re capable of supporting.”
The company said coordinating an operation of this size requires experienced dispatching, qualified drivers, scheduling and safety oversight, as well as the ability to respond quickly to changing conditions at the project site.
Potter said the Devil’s Gate work also demonstrates the importance of giving local businesses opportunities to participate in major infrastructure projects in their communities. Such work can help companies create jobs, purchase equipment and develop the capacity to compete for larger projects, he said.
Titan Resources provides dump truck hauling, demolition, water trucks, street sweeping and material management services throughout Southern California.
The company plans to formally introduce the Titan Resources brand and its expanded capabilities to clients, contractors, public agencies and the Pasadena community as part of an upcoming company launch.
