Two marketing firm founders will present: Katelyn Barchowsky of Storied Lane Marketing and Anika Fisch of Social Rose Studio.

Barchowsky founded Storied Lane Marketing to work with local small businesses and nonprofits, and has more than a decade of experience across a range of industries and companies from small firms to Fortune 500 corporations, the Pasadena Chamber said. Her work has been recognized by Business Life Magazine, the U.S. House of Representatives, the California State Senate, the California Assembly, Los Angeles County and the city of Pasadena.

She completed Digital Marketing Analytics through MIT’s Executive Program and holds bachelor’s degrees in marketing and Spanish from Penn State University, where she also minored in international business.

Fisch started Social Rose Studio in 2017 as what the chamber described as a “college kid’s side gig” and officially established the company in 2023. She holds a bachelor’s degree in public relations and a master’s degree in communication management from the University of Southern California’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. After graduate school she worked in public relations and advertising, gaining experience with top-ranking agencies and on domestic and international campaigns, the chamber said. Her work covers full-service social media management, strategy and content creation.

The webinar is part of Biz Boost, a monthly series organized by San Gabriel Valley chambers and business assistance organizations. Participants include the chambers of commerce of Pasadena, South Pasadena, Rosemead, San Dimas, El Monte/South El Monte, La Verne, Claremont, Azusa, Irwindale and Altadena; the Regional Chamber of the San Gabriel Valley; and the Women’s Business Center and Small Business Development Centers at Pasadena City College.

The San Gabriel Valley Area Chamber Executives, or VACE, is an informal group made up of the staff leadership of chambers of commerce throughout the San Gabriel Valley. The group meets monthly to discuss issues of mutual concern, collaborates on regional mixers and showcase events, and shares ideas and assistance among its members. Its meetings often focus on ways to improve the chamber experience for members.

The Pasadena Chamber of Commerce and Civic Association, founded in 1888 as the Board of Trade, works to strengthen the economy, business climate and quality of life in Pasadena. It currently serves more than 1,050 members.
