First United Methodist Church in Pasadena will serve as an early voting location for California’s statewide special election, opening its doors Saturday, Nov. 1, for ballot drop-off and in-person voting.

The church at 500 E. Colorado Blvd. will host early voting through Nov. 3. Hours are 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday through Monday.

On Election Day, Nov. 4, the site will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Voters can enter through the Oakland Avenue side of the campus. The church’s Great Hall will serve as the ballot drop-off location.

All registered California voters received mail-in ballots beginning Oct. 6. Ballots can be returned by mail, at drop boxes or at county elections offices.

The election features Proposition 50, which addresses congressional district lines. Santa Clara County voters will also decide on Measure A, a proposed sales tax increase for county services.

The voter registration deadline was Oct. 20. However, eligible citizens can still register through same-day registration at county elections offices or any in-person voting location through Election Day.

Mailed ballots must be postmarked by Nov. 4 and received by Nov. 12 to be counted.
