Biography

Wah currently serves as the Pasadena City College (PCC) Trustee for Area 5 (San Marino, South Pasadena and Temple City). She was appointed in September of 2010, and has been meeting with the schools and community to ensure that PCC is poised to serve the needs of the Area 5 communities. Quality education has long been a high priority to these communities and it is her personal priority as well.

She has strived to bring her 27 years of experience as an information technology manager in Los Angeles to benefit the PCC community. Wah believes that technology serves students in their goals, and prepares them to compete in a globalized marketplace, but also be utilized to increase organizational efficiency and to improve service delivery to the public.

With over 30 years’ experience on various community boards, including the National Organization for Women, CSULA Alumni Board, CSULA Charter College of Education, the Chinese American Museum, and Pasadena’s Women@Work, she has worked toward fair employment and fair pay issues for women in the workplace, and awareness of Asian Pacific Islander community issues, and educational improvements.

Wah has two degrees from CSULA: a bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems and a master’s degree in Management Information Systems, while working full-time and raising a family. Both of Linda’s children attended PCC.
