
On Monday banks and the United States Postal Service as well as other federal agencies will not be open for Columbus Day, but locally, all schools and Pasadena City government departments will be open as usual.
According to the USPS, there will be no mail delivery to street addresses or Post Office Box addresses on this day, except for Priority Mail Express. Regular mail delivery and collection schedules will resume on Tuesday, October 10. The USPS said that to get stamps and access postal products and services at any time, individuals can visit www.usps.com or visit nearby grocery, pharmacy, and convenience stores.
On the state level, the state of California does not recognize Columbus Day as a state holiday. Consequently, state offices and services within California will remain open.
The same holds true for Los Angeles County and Pasadena City offices and services.
