The event, traditionally held at La Casita del Arroyo, ran from 10:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. to accommodate all shifts of the Pasadena Police Department and Pasadena Fire Department. Homemade dishes and catered fare were served by Coldwell Banker staff, offering a rare opportunity for first responders and realtors to share a meal and connect outside of their professional roles.
Pasadena Police Chief Eugene Harris said Bell’s original gesture of gratitude has grown into a “cherished Pasadena tradition,” according to a statement released by the department.
Bell, a third-generation Pasadena resident, launched the luncheon in 2001 as a personal response to the national tragedy. Her aim was to recognize the everyday sacrifices of local first responders. Over the years, the event has become a fixture in the city’s civic calendar.
In a statement issued by the City of Pasadena, officials thanked Bell and the Coldwell Banker Pasadena team for “twenty-four years of generosity, community spirit, and unwavering support.”
Bell remains active in the local real estate market, serving clients throughout Pasadena and the San Gabriel Valley. Her continued involvement in civic life reflects her longstanding ties to the community.
