A representative from the local nonprofit Day One is scheduled to to talk about the San Gabriel Valley Greenway Network. The Greenway Network Strategic Implementation Plan will transform the storm channels, washes, and creeks that feed into the San Gabriel and Rio Hondo Rivers into a modernized bicycle and pedestrian pathway network.
Guests from Pasadena 100 will also attend to report on their campaign for 100% carbon-free electricity in Pasadena and discuss their strategies and tactics. The Pasadena Complete Streets Coalition is a member organization of Pasadena 100.

Additionally, the coalition announced its upcoming Gardens Ride on Saturday, April 12 at 10:00 a.m. This family-friendly bicycle tour will showcase private homes featuring native California plant landscaping in Central, North, and East Pasadena.
Participants will meet at Playhouse Village Park at 701 Union Street in Pasadena. All participants must sign a waiver upon arrival. As of March 25, the route hadn’t been finalized, but it will be 12-13 miles with 300-400 feet of elevation gain. Children who can ride without training wheels and maintain a social pace of approximately 10 mph are welcome to join.
The event is free, but RSVPs are required due to limited space. Participants should bring water, sunscreen, and a bicycle in good working order (e-bikes are welcome). Those wishing to join a picnic afterward should bring a bag lunch. A bicycle mechanic will be available during the ride.
