The fund provides between $25,000 and $250,000 to cover development, integration and launch costs—wired before code is shipped. “By covering integration costs upfront, we remove the last hurdle: speed. Partners can ship SmartScan in weeks and monetize their existing install base on day one,” said Gary Guseinov, CEO of RealDefense.
The invitation-only initiative requires applicants to meet key criteria, including product fit, audience size and technical readiness. Interested developers must complete a pre-qualification form with company details and install-base metrics. Not all applicants will be accepted. Final selection is at RealDefense’s sole discretion.
Once SmartScan is deployed, developers gain access to a built-in, zero-cost remarketing engine that operates entirely on-device—eliminating the need for third-party ad budgets. “Once SmartScan is live, partners can unlock customer re-engagement tools designed to drive revenue—without relying on additional media spend,” the company noted.
Integration typically completes in under 30 days, backed by RealDefense’s partner success team. Early adopters have reported a 45 percent lift in trial-to-paid conversions, 85 percent renewal rates and a 90-day average payback period.
SmartScan offers automated device cleanup, system optimization, user-controlled privacy settings, contextual engagement features and seamless retargeting—all delivered via a lightweight DLL or service layer that ensures no user data leaves the endpoint.
RealDefense reports that existing partners have collectively generated more than $100 million in annual recurring revenue by implementing SmartScan. Its cybersecurity product portfolio includes well-known brands such as iolo System Mechanic, iolo Updater, SUPERAntiSpyware, MyCleanPC and Support.com..
The company is part of the fast-growing Southern California cybersecurity hub and was recently recognized on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 list.
