A 29-year-old Pasadena man was arrested Friday morning after police recovered firearms, narcotics, body armor and ammunition during a search warrant operation in the city’s north end, authorities said.
Lazaro Tapia was taken into custody at approximately 10:40 a.m. on Sept. 5 at a residence in the 800 block of North Euclid Avenue, according to Pasadena Police Lt. Matt Campeau. The department’s Street Crime Unit executed the warrant in connection with suspected firearms and narcotics activity.
Detectives allegedly recovered three handguns, an unspecified quantity of oxycodone, body armor and ammunition during the search, Campeau said. Tapia was arrested on multiple weapons and narcotics charges.
No injuries were reported during the operation, and SWAT was not deployed.
Campeau said Tapia was the only individual detained at the scene and that officers encountered no resistance during the arrest.
