Jasiri Jenkins-Glenn, the organization’s director of community engagement, has been chosen to serve on the Venue Transport team for the tournament, which is expected to attract millions of visitors across North America.
Jenkins-Glenn will take a temporary assignment managing constituent transportation logistics, helping coordinate operations tied to the global soccer tournament. FIFA World Cup 2026 will be hosted across the United States, Canada and Mexico and is expected to be the largest World Cup in the event’s history.
“Jasiri being selected to support the largest global event in history thus far is a testament to her talent, leadership, and commitment to community,” Pasadena Media CEO George Falardeau said in a statement. “While we miss her presence day-to-day, we are incredibly proud to see her represent Pasadena on an international stage.”
A Pasadena Media spokesperson said Jenkins-Glenn’s selection reflects her experience in community engagement, large-scale event management and media operations.
Jenkins-Glenn was the first person appointed to the community engagement director position at Pasadena Media. Since joining the organization, she has led efforts to expand partnerships, strengthen civic engagement and elevate diverse voices through public media programming.
Before joining Pasadena Media, Jenkins-Glenn held operational and management positions with several major organizations, including the Golden State Warriors, the San Francisco International Film Festival and the Palm Springs International Film Festival. She also worked at Facebook, where she gained experience in digital communications and logistics.
Pasadena Media said it supports Jenkins-Glenn’s temporary assignment and expects the experience gained during the World Cup to benefit the organization when she returns.
The FIFA World Cup 2026 is scheduled to begin in June 2026 and will feature an expanded field of 48 national teams competing in matches across 16 host cities in North America.
