The organization announced Thursday that its new website is now live, offering residents easier access to information about programming, production services, classes, membership and volunteer opportunities.
“The Summer Fellowship represents Pasadena Media’s commitment to developing the next generation of community storytellers,” Pasadena Media CEO George Falardeau said. “By providing hands-on experience, mentorship, and opportunities to engage with industry professionals, we’re helping our students build meaningful skills while strengthening community voices.”
The website was designed and built in-house by Jasiri Jenkins-Glenn, Pasadena Media’s director of community engagement. The redesign is intended to provide a more streamlined and accessible online experience for the community.
The launch comes as Pasadena Media wraps up its 2026 Summer Fellowship Program, which concluded Aug. 6 with a celebration recognizing the fellows and community leaders who participated in their professional development.
Throughout the summer, fellows worked with Pasadena Media community producers Brian Biery, Andrea Jennings and Veronica Vargas, who shared their experiences in community storytelling and media production. Jennings also serves on Pasadena Media’s Community Advisory Committee.
The fellowship included Rayla Dominoe, McKenzie Mercado and Abigail Montopoli. Montopoli was a member of Pasadena Media’s inaugural 2024 Occidental College internship cohort and is now a production specialist with the organization.
The three were recently featured on “The Rose City Report,” Pasadena Media’s news update program.
A grant from the Wilhelm Family Foundation helped expand the program with new production equipment and additional resources. The funding also supported the fellowship’s closing celebration.
Pasadena Media’s latest group of production assistant interns also launched “Meet the Interns,” a social media initiative on Instagram and TikTok designed to introduce the interns and give viewers a behind-the-scenes look at their work and experiences.
The developments follow national recognition for Pasadena Media earlier this summer.
The organization received the 2026 Alliance for Community Media Hometown Media Award for Overall Excellence in Public, Educational or Government Programming. The award was presented June 24 in Madison, Wisconsin.
It marks the third time since 2019 that Pasadena Media has received the honor, which recognizes noncommercial community media programming serving local communities and advancing public, educational and governmental access.
