Pasadena nonprofit Lagerlof Cares has donated $15,000 to two local Pasadena charities.
The nonprofit, the charitable arm of of local law firm Lagerlof, LLP, donated $7,500 to The Foundation for Living Beauty received $7,500 and Hillsides received the same amount after hosting their second annual golf tournament fundraiser event.
“We are very proud to be able to support not one, but two nonprofits,” Lagerlof, LLP Managing Partner Joshua Driskell said. “Both of these organizations do amazing work in our Pasadena community, and we are thankful to our event attendees and sponsors for their generosity in partnering with us to support such impactful organizations like The Foundation for Living Beauty and Hillsides.”
Lagerlof Cares partnered with both The Foundation for Living Beauty and Hillsides in an effort to continue their mission of supporting local nonprofit programs that are committed to helping build a stronger community.
The Foundation for Living Beauty is a local Pasadena nonprofit that uplifts and empowers women, in their battles with cancer, by providing them with opportunities to explore wellness and healing modalities, while also developing a sense of community with other women along the same path. Hillsides is also a local Pasadena nonprofit that is a premier provider dedicated to healing children and young adults, strengthening families, and transforming communities through quality comprehensive services and advocacy.
The Lagerlof Cares Golf Tournament Fundraiser was the 2nd annual tournament. The tournament included a 9-hole golf game, contests, raffle, cocktail hour, and dinner reception. At the reception attendees were able to hear from both organizations they were supporting.
The Foundation for Living Beauty’s Executive Director, Nancy Davidson, spoke and shared about the different programs the organization offers and read testimonials from current and past “Living Beauties” (the women they serve) and the impact the program has had on their life and recovery journey.
Hillsides CEO, Stacey Roth, shared about the five programs that Hillsides offers youth and families. She then introduced a Hillside youth, Karla, who shared her experience with the organization. She shared that the support and resources she has received from the organization has helped her become financially independent, go to school, and ultimately secure her own apartment.
Lagerlof Cares plans to continue supporting local nonprofit programs through direct volunteerism, charitable events, and corporate gifts. They plan to host their Lagerlof Cares 3rd Annual Golf Tournament Fundraiser event in fall 2023.
