Pasadena Police Foundation Launches Fundraising Drive for K-9 Unit Expansion

The Pasadena Police Foundation has initiated a targeted fundraising campaign to enhance the city’s police K-9 unit through training, equipment and the addition of a new police dog.

The initiative seeks to bolster the department’s crime reduction capabilities by expanding its canine force, which specializes in tracking operations and patrol work.

On Facebook, the Foundation said community members can support the program through direct monetary contributions or by purchasing police department K-9 plush toys.

The foundation, established in 1992 to foster community engagement with law enforcement, operates under a Board of Directors representing Pasadena’s diverse population.

Beyond its K-9 unit support, the organization works as an advocate for the police department, improves police-community communications, and serves as an advisory resource to the Chief of Police.

The Foundation maintains several core objectives, including youth program funding, advocating for the police department in the community, and providing tax-exempt channels for gifts benefiting police initiatives.
