Pasadena police responded Monday to a threatening phone call at Pasadena High School, but no lockdown was ordered and no weapons or suspects were found, according to Pasadena Police Lieutenant Anthony Russo.

Russo reported that at approximately 1:48 p.m., officers were dispatched after an unknown man called using a private number, threatening to bring guns to the school.

“We conducted the area check and maintained a presence until school was dismissed,” Russo said. He confirmed that no unusual incidents occurred during the remainder of the school day.

Russo said the school was not placed on lockdown.
