San Gabriel Foothills Indivisible plans to hold a downtown Pasadena rally Saturday in response to the killing of a Minnesota woman by an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent.

Renee Nicole Good was a 37-year-old U.S. citizen and mother of three who was shot and killed by an ICE agent in south Minneapolis on the morning of Wednesday, January 8, 2026.

The “ICE Out for Good” demonstration is scheduled for noon to 2 p.m. at Colorado Boulevard and Garfield Avenue, at the Paseo shopping center, according to an email from SGFI.

Organizers said the event is part of a national weekend of action taking place Jan. 10–11.

The organization said the incident reflects “a broader pattern of unchecked violence and abuse” by federal immigration enforcement agencies, citing 32 deaths connected to ICE apprehension and detention in 2025, according to NPR.

The statement also referenced the October shooting of Marimar Martinez in Chicago, noting that Martinez survived and was later charged by federal officials. The group said the case illustrates the “intimidation” communities face.

San Gabriel Foothills Indivisible said the Pasadena rally aims to honor those killed, call for accountability, and highlight what it described as escalating ICE operations.

“We will meet ICE’s violence with steadfast nonviolence and lawful protest,” the group said.

Organizers encouraged participants to bring signs naming victims and to “treat this as an opportunity to show solidarity” with communities affected by ICE actions. The event’s guiding principles emphasize nonviolence, de-escalation, and lawful conduct.

The rally is part of a coordinated effort supported by Indivisible, MoveOn, the American Civil Liberties Union, Voto Latino, United We Dream, and other national groups, according to the statement.

San Gabriel Foothills Indivisible describes itself as a grassroots collective of San Gabriel foothill residents opposed to anti-democratic policies and committed to nonviolence and civic engagement.
