Pasadena resident Jennifer Westpfahl has been honored as an outstanding student by Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management, it was announced today.

Westpfahl was awarded the school’s George Award, named in honor of the school’s benefactor and namesake, Los Angeles banker George L. Graziadio, Jr., according to a news statement.

Westpfahl was one of seven students recognized at a luncheon held on April 12.

“Jennifer Westpfahl’s tremendous career and industry perspective have made her an exemplary member of her Executive MBA cohort, EMBA 93,” said Dean Linda A. Livingstone, Ph.D. at the luncheon ceremony.

Westpfahl, who completes her EMBA this year, was acknowledged for seamlessly navigating between the conceptual and the concrete thought processes while demonstrating a superb level of self-awareness through applied learning, according to the news statement.

Westpfahl is an executive director at Morgan Stanley. Her career and industry perspective have proven to be great assets to her MBA cohort, for whom she has served as both an informal leader and a supportive individual teammate, according to the news statement.

Westpfahl is an active volunteer and philanthropist currently serving the Los Angeles Food Bank and the Yosemite Conservancy.

In addition, she serves on the board of Back on My Feet, a non-profit supporting Los Angeles homeless get back into the workforce. She earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Central Arkansas.
