The nonprofit announced the appointment Wednesday, Oct. 14. Rehman-Dittu succeeds Dotty Ewing, who served as president for the 2025-26 term.
A member since 2009, Rehman-Dittu served as benefit chair for the 60th Pasadena Showcase House of Design in 2025. She has held numerous other leadership positions, including chairing the Youth Concert, Gifts & Grants and several fundraising activities, according to the organization’s announcement.
“I am honored to step into the role of President and continue our mission of supporting local music and arts programs,” Rehman-Dittu said in the announcement.
Her experience includes organizing June Bloom, an outdoor garden fundraiser held in La Cañada Flintridge in 2021 after the COVID-19 pandemic forced the cancellation of the traditional Showcase House tour. ABC7 reported at the time that Rehman-Dittu chaired the event, which featured gardens at three homes.
The organization also recognized her as its Volunteer of the Year in 2015, according to the announcement.
As president, Rehman-Dittu will oversee the nonprofit’s music education initiatives, including Music Mobile, the Youth Concert and Instrumental Competition, along with its support for a Los Angeles Philharmonic resident fellow.
She will also supervise the Gifts & Grants program, which provides funding to nonprofit organizations for music education, scholarships, concerts and music therapy.
Founded in 1948, Pasadena Showcase House for the Arts raises money primarily through its annual Showcase House of Design, a home and garden tour that began in 1965. The organization reports that it has contributed more than $28 million to music and arts programs over its history.
Rehman-Dittu credited the organization’s volunteers for its continuing work.
“Our members give so much of themselves,” she said in the announcement. “Their energy, dedication, and willingness to step up make everything we do possible.”
Among her initial responsibilities, Rehman-Dittu led the team that secured the property for the 62nd Pasadena Showcase House of Design. The organization said the estate has been selected but has not yet publicly identified the property.
The 2027 Showcase House is scheduled to run from April 18 through May 23, according to the organization’s final Oct. 14 announcement. Golden tickets are expected to go on sale in mid-November, with timed-entry tickets becoming available in early February.
Reflecting on her years with the organization, Rehman-Dittu said, “I think I might have had every job in the organization. Each one has been exciting and meaningful.”
