Pasadena Temperatures to Warm After Cool Week

Published on Friday, August 14, 2026 | 4:49 am

Cooler-than-normal August temperatures will give way to a gradual warming trend in Pasadena, with highs returning to seasonal norms early next week, National Weather Service forecasters said Friday.

Forecasters reported that today’s high will reach near 86 degrees after morning clouds clear. Winds will remain light, shifting south-southwest at about 5 mph in the afternoon.

Saturday will follow a similar pattern, with cloudy skies through mid-morning before clearing and a high near 88 degrees. Sunday is expected to be sunny with a high near 87 degrees. Overnight lows will hover around 60 to 61 degrees, with patchy fog possible late Sunday.

Temperatures will rise steadily into next week. Monday’s high is forecast near 89 degrees, climbing to 92 degrees Tuesday and Wednesday. Lows will remain in the mid-60s. By Thursday, highs are expected near 91 degrees, signaling a return to typical mid-August conditions.

No significant rainfall is forecast for Pasadena, though forecasters noted a slight chance of morning drizzle through the weekend and isolated mountain convection with minimal local impact. Winds will stay calm overnight and light during the afternoons.

Forecasters said the marine layer, which has kept skies cloudy in the mornings, will shrink in coverage each day. By Monday, low clouds should be confined to coastal areas, leaving Pasadena with clearer mornings and warmer afternoons.

No advisories are currently in effect for Pasadena. The National Weather Service said the warming trend will continue into midweek, with mostly sunny skies and highs near seasonal averages.
