Pasadena To Hit 100 on Friday, Two-Day Heat Advisory Issued

National Weather Service forecasters cautioned Pasadenans to be ready for a scorcher on Friday, with the mercury hitting triple digits and only letting up slightly on Saturday.

The NWS issued a 2-day heat advisory and told people to avoid exercise and stay hydrated to avoid heat-related illnesses.

The heat advisory is in effect until 7:00 p.m. Saturday.

Forecaster said temperatures will cool a bit over the weekend and there will be additional cooling into early next week

Here is the NWS forecast for the next 7 days:

Today: Sunny and hot, with a high near 100. North northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming south in the morning.

Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 62. West wind 5 to 10 mph becoming east in the evening.

Saturday: Sunny and hot, with a high near 98. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph in the afternoon.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 62. South southwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 93. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 62.

Columbus Day: Sunny, with a high near 89.

Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 57.

Tuesday: Patchy fog before 11am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 78.

Tuesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 55.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 80.

Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 58.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 84.
