Pasadena to Warm Into the 80s After Slight Chance of Showers Friday

Published on Friday, October 23, 2026 | 5:08 am

Pasadena residents can expect a brief chance of light showers Friday before a warming trend takes hold over the weekend and into next week, pushing daytime temperatures to around 80 degrees by Monday, according to the National Weather Service.

Friday will be the coolest day of the forecast period, with a high near 71 degrees and a 20% chance of showers after 11:00 a.m. Skies are expected to be partly sunny, with light south-southwest winds around 5 mph.

Forecasters said a weather system moving through Southern California could generate isolated showers, but any precipitation reaching Pasadena is expected to be limited. Significant rainfall is not anticipated.

Conditions are expected to improve Friday night as skies become partly cloudy and temperatures drop to about 52 degrees. Light northeast winds will develop overnight.

Sunny weather is forecast for Saturday, with temperatures rising to about 76 degrees. Light northeast winds in the morning will shift southerly during the afternoon.

The warming trend will continue Sunday, when Pasadena is expected to reach 78 degrees under sunny skies. Overnight temperatures will remain mild, falling to around 57 degrees Sunday night.

Monday is expected to be the warmest day of the forecast period, with a high near 80 degrees and mostly clear conditions. The National Weather Service said weak offshore flow associated with a Santa Ana wind pattern will help maintain warmer and drier weather across the region.

Temperatures will remain above late-October levels through midweek, with highs near 78 degrees Tuesday, 76 degrees Wednesday and 73 degrees Thursday.

Winds in Pasadena are expected to remain relatively light throughout the period. Stronger Santa Ana gusts are forecast mainly in mountain and foothill locations, while the city is expected to experience only occasional northeast breezes.

No weather advisories, watches or warnings are in effect for Pasadena.

Forecasters said drier conditions will persist through much of next week, although longer-range forecast models indicate the possibility of a return to wetter weather sometime after Halloween.
