As part of this newly begun school year’s activities, Pasadena Unified is hosting Back-to-School Nights at various schools in the District. There are two tonight and four Thursday night.
The events provide a good opportunity for families, educational partners, and community members to mingle, exchange ideas, and participate in activities that aim to foster a strong sense of community among students, parents, and school staff.
During Back-to-School Night, activities typically include meeting the principal, teachers, and school staff members; visiting classrooms to get a glimpse of the students’ daily school life; and learning about the curriculum, teaching methods, and expectations for the school year.
Parents also receive updates on school committees, events, and policies; participate in after-school programs, sports, and clubs; and engage in community-building activities, such as ice cream socials and “popsicles with the principal.”
Parents should keep in mind that specific activities may vary depending on the school and grade level.
