Pasadena Water and Power will hold its final community meeting before construction begins on the Raymond Avenue Utility Undergrounding Project on Wednesday, January 14, from 6 to 7 p.m. at the Jackie Robinson Community Center.

The meeting represents an opportunity for residents along the affected corridor to hear a project overview and ask questions before crews break ground in February 2026.

The project will shift overhead electrical utility lines to underground infrastructure along approximately two miles of Raymond Avenue in northwest Pasadena, from Maple Street to the northern city boundary.

David M. Reyes, General Manager of Water and Power, and PWP staff will present at the meeting and answer audience questions, according to a city announcement published January 7. Spanish-speaking staff will be available.

The City Council approved a contract with Doty Bros. Equipment Company on November 17, 2025, for a not-to-exceed amount of $21,403,255. The contract allows for up to three years of construction.

PWP previously held a community meeting on the project in May 2023.

Residents who cannot attend in person have several options to participate. A virtual option via Zoom is available at https://us02web.zoom.us/j/88220894837, or by phone at (669) 900-6833 using webinar ID 882 2089 4837.

A recording of the meeting will be posted to the PWP website afterward.

The meeting will be held in Room 200 at the Jackie Robinson Community Center, 1020 N Fair Oaks Avenue.

For accessibility information or to request an accommodation, residents may contact (626) 744-7311 or CSC@CityOfPasadena.net. The city requests 72 hours advance notice to help ensure availability.
