Pasadena Village and Webster’s Community Pharmacy Offer Free Vaccine Clinic in Altadena

Pasadena Village and Webster’s Community Pharmacy hold a vaccine clinic Friday, November 6, at the pharmacy at 2333 Lake Ave. in Altadena.

Visitors can get a flu shot, the latest COVID-19 vaccine or other recommended vaccines, including tetanus, RSV, shingles and pneumonia vaccines for adults 65 and older.

The clinic is a Pasadena Village event and is open to the public. Webster’s takes questions about the vaccines at (626) 797-1163.

Pasadena Village is an organization of adults over 55 whose mission is to foster vital independent living in a spirit of mutual support, enrichment and inclusiveness. It describes itself as an intentional community of older adults who support each other while living independently in their homes. More than 250 Villagers take part in its calendar of discussion groups, social activities, support groups and educational programs, and its programs are run by Villagers for Villagers. Members help one another or call on volunteers to assist with small tasks such as grocery shopping, household chores, technology and transportation.

The organization is one of the villages across the country supporting seniors who choose to age in place. People who want to get to know the group can attend Meet Me at the Village every second Thursday at 10 a.m. at the organization’s office; Pasadena Village can be reached at (626) 765-6037. Committees and teams plan cultural and social activities, educational programs and support groups, and Villagers serve on the board of directors alongside members of the local community.

Registration is available through Pasadena Village, and the clinic is free of charge.
