Pasadena Welcomes New Mental Health Clinic, Expanding Access to Innovative Treatments

Pasadena gained a new resource for mental health treatment in late August with the opening of Neuro Wellness Spa’s 10th location. The clinic, co-founded by Martha Koo, aims to provide evidence-based care in a spa-like environment.

Koo, president of the Clinical TMS Society and board member of the Foundation for the Advancement of Clinical TMS, brings expertise in Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy to the new facility. TMS, an FDA-cleared treatment, uses magnetic pulses to treat conditions like depression and anxiety without medication for patients 15 and older.

“Neuro Wellness Spa is not just a medical clinic; it’s a sanctuary for those seeking the most advanced, non-invasive mental health treatments delivered with personalized care in a welcoming, compassionate setting,” Koo said in a statement. “Our goal is to provide a comprehensive approach to psychiatry that combines the latest evidence-based advancements with a focus on holistic wellness and individualized care.”

Jahanzeb Khan joins as Medical Director, bringing experience in child, adolescent and adult psychiatry. He earned his M.D. from Windsor University School of Medicine and completed fellowships at University Hospitals, Case Western Reserve University.

The clinic will offer services including TMS therapy, psychiatric assessments, psychotherapy (both online and in-person, with modalities like CBT, DBT, and ERP), and medication management. Services are available for patients as young as 12 for psychiatric assessments and medication management, while TMS is offered for those 15 and older.

Neuro Wellness Spa is part of Your Behavioral Health, co-founded by Koo and Mike Joly, who’s CEO. The facility will be providing a range of mental health and addiction treatment services across Southern California. 

Your Behavioral Health also opened a Clear Behavioral Health location in Pasadena in May. Formerly Clear Recovery Center, Clear Behavioral Health is a Los Angeles-based provider of comprehensive, in-network behavioral health treatment programs.
