Surveyed Pasadena residents are in favor of building a new earthquake-safe replacement terminal at Bob Hope Airport, which is jointly owned by the cities of Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena, a recently released poll says.
The telephone survey, conducted by research firm Goodwin Simon Strategic Research, involved 1,111 registered voters from Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena, and areas of Los Angeles near the airport.
It was presented at a joint session of the Burbank City Council and the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority on March 15 as the bodies focus on the the future of the airport.
According to their findings, the majority of the survey participants expressed “very positive feelings about the airport.â€
The research form also reported that “a majority would support a replacement terminal with the same number of passenger gates as the current terminal that meets current earthquake design standards and current Federal Aviation Administration airport design standards.â€
In the next phase of public outreach beginning on April 16, 2012, all interested members of the public will be invited to participate in other survey which is to be conducted online through the website www.bobhopeairport.com.
The Bob Hope airport is owned by the Burbank-Glendale-Pasadena Airport Authority, which in turn is controlled by the governments of Burbank, Glendale, and Pasadena.
