Tetra Tech Inc., headquartered on East Foothill Boulevard in Pasadena, announced this week that United Utilities, one of the United Kingdom’s largest listed water companies, has chosen its WaterNet™ software platform to support a five-year leakage reduction and demand management program.
Under the contract, Tetra Tech’s WaterNet system will provide a unified, data-driven approach to identifying and addressing water infrastructure leaks more quickly, while improving demand management and strengthening network resilience. Implementation is scheduled for the first half of 2026 as part of United Utilities’ “Every Drop Counts” campaign.
“For more than two decades, our operations in England have provided United Utilities with high-end technical support and critical infrastructure services,” said Dan Batrack, Tetra Tech chairman and chief executive officer. “We look forward to continuing to use our Leading with Science® approach and innovative WaterNet solution to support United Utilities in sustainably managing water demand and achieving significant improvement in water delivery efficiency across the North West of England.”
Tetra Tech specialists will also assist United Utilities with strategies to leverage WaterNet’s leakage reduction capabilities. The program is tied to the utility’s AMP8 targets, which set ambitious goals for water efficiency and infrastructure performance. WaterNet is one of the advanced technologies in the Tetra Tech Delta solutions platform.
