A cooling trend will settle over Pasadena through Friday, with daytime highs dipping into the upper 70s before a sharp warm-up begins early next week, forecasters said Wednesday.

The National Weather Service in Los Angeles said morning clouds and patchy drizzle will linger through Friday, keeping temperatures several degrees below normal. Highs are expected near 77 degrees Thursday and Friday, compared with Wednesday’s 81 degrees.

Today’s conditions include cloudy skies through midmorning, gradual clearing, and light winds shifting southwest at 5 to 10 mph. Tonight will bring increasing clouds, patchy drizzle after 11:00 p.m., and lows around 53 degrees.

Forecasters said the cooling will continue Thursday and Friday, with highs in the mid-70s and persistent cloud cover. Winds will remain light but steady, adding to the chill.

Temperatures will stabilize over the weekend, with highs near 77 to 78 degrees Saturday and Sunday. Sunshine will return by Sunday afternoon, offering mild conditions for outdoor activities.

By Monday, a significant warming trend begins, with highs climbing to 83 degrees. Tuesday is forecast to reach 87 degrees, marking the start of summer heat across Pasadena.

No advisories are in effect, but residents should expect damp mornings and cooler afternoons through Friday.
