
The Pasadena City College men’s track and field team scored 51 points to finish in fifth place out of 12 colleges at the Coast Classic held March 13 at Orange Coast College.
Anthony Pequeno ran his season-best mark of 21.63 seconds to win the 200 meters event and that keeps him second ranked in the state. The sophomore sprinter was fourth in the 100 (10.85).
Milo Peoples won the javelin with a season-best throw of 173 feet, 5 inches. The throw places him fifth in the state.
Drake Anderson scored third in the 800 (2:01.90) and was fourth in the 5,000 (17:36.50). John Sanchez-Lopez placed sixth in the 1,500 (4:32.50) and Benicio Toro took sixth the 5,000 (17:46.18).
The Lancers were fifth in the 4×100 relay behind Dylan Hooks, Quishawn Stanford, Aidon Phillips, and Pequeno in a time of 43.92.
