On May 21, Pasadnea City College Student Health Services and the PCC Cross Cultural Center present “That Voice in the Wilderness is Laughing,” a presentation by comedian Brian Wetzel on the many factors that contribute to clinical depression, and the complex issues surrounding this mood disorder.

In his presention, Wetzel candidly shares how his career as a comedian and his personal life became absorbed by his 20-year struggle with his clinical depression, and subsequent addiction.

After subsequent treatment of his disorder, Wetzel began to write his autobiographical one-man show about his 20-year struggle with depression. He has been touring the United States with his show “Side by Side: A Journey With Depression” playing such diverse venues as Stanford University and Napa State Hospital.
