Two men are being sought after they allegedly robbed a pizza delivery man of cash and his cellphone Wednesday night at gunpoint.
The armed robbery occurred in the 600 block of E. Washington at about 9:54 p.m.
Pasadena police Lt. Pete Hettema, Watch Commander, said the victim is a 24-year-old male Hispanic who has just delivered a pizza when he was approached by the two suspects as he was walking back to his car.
“One of the suspects punched the victim in the face and victim attempted to defend himself,” Hettema said. “The other suspect pointed a handgun at him and struck him in the head with the butt of the weapon a couple of times. The suspects demanded money, and one of them removed the money from the victim’s pocket.”
After the robbery, the suspects, both described as male, black and in their 20s, fled on foot eastbound on Washington Blvd. from El Molino Avenue, Hettema said.
The victim lost about $80 in cash, his cellphone and cards from his wallet. The victim did not require medical treatment, Hettema said.
Anyone with information about the incident or the whereabouts of the suspects is asked to call the Pasadena Police Department, at (626) 744-4501.
