Police Initiate Review of Fatal Shooting

Pasadena Police Chief Bernard Melekian announced today that he has invited a team led by a former federal prosecutor to conduct an independent review into the Feb. 19 officer-involved shooting in northwest Pasadena that killed resident Leroy Barnes.

Melekian and police commanders initiated the involvement of the Los Angeles County Office of Independent Review to supplement other investigations already underway into the incident.
