Police Nab Alleged Rapist

A 44-year-old man was nabbed early Wednesday for alleged sexual assault of a woman in her home.

Police arrested Trent Lee Darling on suspicion of raping the woman Friday last week at about 1:00 a.m., the SGV Tribune reported, citing Pasadena police officials and Los Angeles County booking records.

Darling allegedly entered the woman’s bedroom and raped her, Pasadena police Lt. Tom Delgado told the newspaper.

The victim said she did not know the suspect, but noticed him lurking around and stalking her, Delgado added.

The suspect returned to the victim’s house early Wednesday to speak to her, but a female friend conversed with him to distract him until the police arrived, Delgado told the newspaper

Darling accepted arrest without a struggle, and is now being held in lieu of $100,000 bail pending his initial court appearance.
