Pasadena Police arrested two in separate gun possession incidents following traffic stops on Tuesday, May 14, according to Lieutenant Edgar Sanchez.
At approximately 3:13 PM, officers conducted a traffic stop at North Garfield Avenue and East Colorado Boulevard, citing and releasing the unlicensed driver. During the stop, officers searched the vehicle’s passenger, a 17-year-old juvenile, and found a concealed Glock 9mm firearm with an extended magazine.
The juvenile was arrested on felony charges but later released to his guardian due to local juvenile detention facility policies, Sanchez said.
Earlier, at 3:08 p.m. detectives from the Street Crime Unit stopped Andre Marsh, 47, from Oregon, at Summit Avenue and East Hammond Street for a traffic violation, Sanchez said.
Marsh, allegedly driving on a suspended license, consented to a vehicle search, which revealed narcotics, $8,900 in cash, and an unregistered Smith and Wesson firearm.
Marsh, who Sanchez said was a convicted felon with prior arrests, was arrested on felony narcotics and firearm possession charges.
