Pasadenans Organizing for Progress announced it plans to host a forum on Monday featuring candidates for the upcoming Pasadena Unified School District Board elections.

The announcement listed candidates vying for three Pasadena Unified School District Board seats, including Jennifer Hall Lee, Juan Carlos Pérez, Lisa Kroese, Tina Fredricks, and Scott Harden, who are running unopposed. It did not specifically state if all the candidates would be participating at the forum.

Pasadenans Organizing for Progress said the forum aims to provide community members an opportunity to hear from candidates and ask questions.

“As we ask the questions and hear the answers that we as a community can hold the winners to each seat to the questions they answered and why they should represent their districts,” the announcement also said.

Spanish translation ae planned for attendees and those watching online. The event will also be livestreamed on Pasadenans Organizing for Progress’s and Radio Journalera’s Facebook pages.

The forum is scheduled to start at 7 p.m. at the Pasadena Job Center. The Pasadena Job Center is located at 500 N. Lake Ave., Pasadena.

According to the announcement, several local organizations are supporting the event besides POP: the National Day Laborer Organizing Network, Pasadena Community Job Center, Pasadena Complete Count Committee, and Clergy Community Coalition.
