The 6th Annual Adaptive Sports Festival, scheduled for November 2, has been canceled due to forecasted rain, city officials announced Wednesday.

“This decision has been made to prioritize participants’ safety and overall quality of the event,” according to the announcement from the City of Pasadena Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department and the Triumph Foundation. The organizations are exploring options to reschedule the event.

The free festival “offers a dynamic and inclusive day of sports and fitness activities designed to cater to individuals of all abilities,” featuring a comprehensive range of adaptive sports including handcycling, wheelchair rugby, pickleball, aquatics, tennis, boccia, adaptive archery, disc golf, boxing, power soccer, and fencing.

Beyond athletics, the event includes a resource fair and art workshop. The festival’s mission is “to foster a more inclusive society while offering participants and spectators a chance to have fun and enjoy friendly competition.”
