Pasadena firefighters contained a house fire to a single room Sunday evening, but the blaze displaced one resident after crews were hampered by hoarding conditions inside the home.

The Pasadena Fire Department responded May 31 to a reported structure fire in the 200 block of 234 Bonnie Ave.

Engine 33 arrived to find smoke coming from both the front door and the rear of the single-story residence.

The department said the fire was confined to a single room and was fully extinguished shortly before 7 p.m.

Mutual-aid support came from San Marino Fire’s Engine 91 and South Pasadena Fire’s Battalion 9.

The Pasadena Police Department managed traffic. Pasadena Water and Power and Southern California Gas company responded for utility mitigation.

No injuries were reported.
