Rose Bowl Half Marathon Unveils 2026 Medal Design Ahead of Pasadena Anniversary Race

Organizers of the Rose Bowl Half Marathon & 5K have released the official medal design for the event’s 10th anniversary, scheduled for Jan. 18, 2026, at the Rose Bowl Stadium. The medal features the stadium’s iconic façade, including its “Rose Bowl” signage and signature stemmed rose, according to a statement from The McCourt Foundation.

More than 10,000 runners are expected to participate in the Pasadena-based race, which concludes on the stadium’s 50-yard line. The medal, produced by Badges & Medals, serves as a commemorative token for finishers and reflects the venue’s historic significance. Organizers said the design honors the stadium’s heritage and offers runners a meaningful memento of their accomplishment.

“Our team at The McCourt Foundation looks forward to welcoming thousands of runners to the beautiful city of Pasadena each year, whether they be locals or visitors enjoying a race-cation,” said Brian McCourt, the foundation’s president and board chair. “To top it off, the event also furthers our mission, allowing us to donate more than $6.7 million to neurology research and to generate more than $76 million for our 125+ nonprofit charity partners.”

Participants will follow a scenic route through Pasadena, passing landmarks such as the Colorado Street Bridge, Old Pasadena and Caltech before entering the stadium. The race is the second leg of the Conquer LA Challenge, which also includes the Santa Monica Classic in September and the ASICS Los Angeles Marathon in March. Runners who complete all three events receive an additional Conquer LA Challenge medal.

The event also includes the Rose Bowl Kids Run for children ages 3 to 8, featuring a half-kilometer course that finishes on the stadium field. The youth race is part of the Kids Run LA Challenge series.

In addition to its race programming, The McCourt Foundation hosts an annual Neurological Symposium and Spring Soiree to advance its mission of building healthier, more connected communities.

Registration for the Rose Bowl Half Marathon & 5K is currently open. Organizers anticipate the event will reach capacity.
