Rose Bowl’s Annual Egg Bowl Brings Back Popular Bunny Brunch

Free egg hunts require advance registration; Pasadena residents can sign up starting March 9

The City of Pasadena’s annual Egg Bowl returns to Rose Bowl Stadium on Saturday, April 4, with three free egg hunts, a spring festival, and the Bunny Brunch — which was absent from last year’s event.

Registration is required and tickets are limited. Pasadena residents can sign up beginning Monday, March 9, at noon at CityOfPasadena.net/Reserve. Non-residents can register starting Monday, March 23, at noon. Every person attending — including adults — must have a ticket to enter the stadium, according to a city press release issued Tuesday.

The egg hunts, open to children up to age 12, begin at 11 a.m., noon, and 1 p.m. The stadium field will be divided into three zones: ages 0-2, ages 3-5, and all ages. Families may register for only one hunt time, and all three hunts feature the same number of eggs, the city said.

Parents are not permitted in the egg hunt area except in the 0-2 zone, where they may carry their child through. Each hunt starts on time with no makeup sessions for latecomers.

The Bunny Brunch, coordinated by Rose Bowl Stadium, returns after it was not offered in 2025. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. inside the Terry Donahue Pavilion, with a VIP egg hunt on the stadium field starting at 10 a.m. Two ticket packages are available; tickets can be purchased at rosebowlstadium.com. The brunch includes breakfast and a photo with the Bunny, according to the press release.

After the egg hunts, a free spring festival will offer games, arts and crafts, inflatable attractions, and food for purchase. No ticket is needed for the festival area.

Attendees should note the Rose Bowl Stadium’s clear bag policy; a bag check will be in place. Outside food is not permitted inside the stadium or on the field. Baskets for the egg hunt are recommended but not required. Strollers are allowed in the festival area and stadium but not on the field; stroller parking will be available.

Free parking is available in Lots F and K. Free rides on Pasadena Transit Route 51 will run throughout the day — every 22 minutes between 7:30 a.m. and 8 p.m., and every 11 minutes between 9:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The route connects Old Pasadena and the Memorial Park A Line Station along Fair Oaks Avenue to Rose Bowl Stadium, which is about a five-minute walk from the nearest bus stop.

The egg hunt entrance is through Gate A. For more information, residents can call the City Service Center at (626) 744-7311 during business hours or visit the Egg Bowl FAQ at CityOfPasadena.net.

The Egg Bowl is an annual event that in 2023 featured 100,000 eggs on the stadium field, according to the city. Tickets are limited, and the press release encourages families to register all group members in advance.
