Gusty Santa Ana winds will drive temperatures into the 80s and upper 80s across Pasadena through Sunday before cooler weather returns Monday, forecasters said.
The National Weather Service in Los Angeles reported Friday that strong offshore winds combined with high pressure will bring significant warming to the region. Temperatures are expected to rise 8 to 12 degrees above normal through the weekend.
Friday’s forecast calls for mostly sunny skies with a high near 80 degrees and northeast winds of 10 to 15 mph. Overnight lows will fall to around 51 degrees under partly cloudy skies.

Forecasters said temperatures will cool Monday as onshore flow returns, dropping highs to around 80 degrees. Highs will remain near 81 degrees Tuesday before falling into the upper 70s Wednesday.
By Thursday, forecasters expect highs near 71 degrees with a slight chance of rain. Confidence in precipitation amounts remains low, but light showers are possible.
Wind advisories are in effect for Los Angeles and Ventura County mountains, where gusts could reach 60 mph. Pasadena will see breezy conditions but not the strongest winds.
