
The Pasadena City College community is invited to attend the 2nd Annual First Year Experience Pathways Student Conference on Friday, Nov. 16 in PCC’s Creveling Lounge. The daylong event, which runs from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., will feature student presentations, a keynote lecture, and panel discussions.
Students will be showcasing their research on topics inspired by the PCC One Book, One College program selection, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks, and the concepts related to college readiness and success.
Leslie S. Rothenberg, professor emeritus of Clinical Medicine in the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA, will deliver a keynote lecture beginning at 6 p.m. in Sexson Auditorium. His lecture, titled “My Cells? Your Cells?: Law, Ethics, and the Ownership of Human Tissue,†will be followed by a discussion and a question-and-answer panel of professors representing a variety of disciplines at PCC.
