Police found the body of a homeless woman behind a Walgreen’s shortly before 10:30 a.m. to the 600 block of North Lake Avenue near Orange Grove Avenue.

Lt. Monica Cuellar of the Pasadena Police Department told Pasadena Now that foul play was not suspected.

The woman, believed to be in her 40s, showed signs that indicated a likely overdose, Cuellar said.

The victim was identified Wednesday by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner as Shaves Adams, with the cause of death listed as deferred.

Investigations into both deaths are continuing.
