Two suspects were arrested following an alleged sexual assault early Saturday morning.
According to Pasadena Police Lieutenant Andrea Perez the incident occurred at approximately 1:56 a.m. on Saturday, January 22, in the 600 block of North Madison Avenue.
Perez said that the victim, a 24-year-old woman from Sanger, told officers she had been preparing to go out with friends and had consumed marijuana at the location. The victim reported losing consciousness and, upon regaining it, discovered she had been sexually assaulted.
According to Perez, two suspects were arrested in connection with the incident: a 26-year-old man from Fresno and a 24-year-old woman, also from Fresno. Their names are being withheld at this time, Perez said.
The Pasadena Fire Department responded to the scene and treated the victim, who was subsequently transported to a medical facility. Her current condition is unknown, Lt. Perez reported.
Lt. Perez did not disclose whether the victim knew the suspects or if any weapons were involved in the assault. The lieutenant also could not confirm if any drugs were found at the scene beyond the marijuana the victim reported consuming.
The case has been handed over to the Special Victims Unit for further investigation, Lt. Perez said.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about this incident to contact the Pasadena Police Department.
