The City of Pasadena unveiled its “Shop Local Pasadena” campaign on Wednesday, November 13, spotlighting over 1,600 retail businesses and 700 restaurants during the crucial holiday shopping season.

The initiative, beginning November 30 on Small Business Saturday, will offer shoppers their choice of one limited-edition tote bag at 26 participating independent businesses while supplies last.

“Shopping locally is more than just a transaction — it’s an opportunity to experience the creativity and community spirit that make Pasadena unique,” said David Klug, Pasadena’s Economic Development Director.

Pasadena Transit will offer free rides on November 29 and 30, making local shopping districts more accessible to visitors and residents seeking unique holiday gifts.

The campaign features two distinct tote bag designs: a “Shop Local Pasadena” canvas tote or a special “Pasadena Crafted” version created with Visit Pasadena and local business Little Friends of Printmaking.

“Pasadena is a destination for those who value authentic experiences. This holiday season, we encourage visitors and community members to play a vital role in supporting local entrepreneurs by exploring the independently owned shops and eateries that make Pasadena such a special place,” said Kristin McGrath, Visit Pasadena’s Executive Director.
